Behaviour Consultant

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct assessments for new and current clients

- Lead, supervise and mentor team members of therapists in the concepts of ABA

- Develop and monitor individualized programs for each client

- Provide training to therapists to ensure treatment integrity

- Work directly with Regional Director to ensure that all clients and team members are receiving the best possible treatment plans, training, and communication

- Set and achieve performance goals with client, client guardian, and team members.

- Summarize data and report progress to families and therapists

- Prepare and review quarterly performance evaluations of team members, including recommendations as to advancement or other changes in status

- Hold coaching/training sessions for team members as needed

- Handle team member complaints and grievances

- Conduct initial and on-going client assessments, and based on these assessments design and maintain top quality treatment programs

- Train clients’ guardians and family members on treatment techniques; maintain positive working relationship with clients’ family; respond to guardian questions in timely and professional manner; minimize cancellations of scheduled sessions

- Track and report time spent in direct contact with clients and time spent preparing documents, reports, and other materials related to clients

- Work cooperatively and courteously with internal departments and staff, as well as external partners

- Attend required trainings, fundraisers, and other Company sponsored events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters Degree (Preferred)

- BCBA (Preferred)

Salary: $45.00-$60.00 per hour

Behaviour Interventionist

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build rapport with child(ren) using play

- Implement Behaviour Intervention Plans written by the Behaviour Consultant

- Collect and summarize program data

- Maintain an organized and safe work environment at all times

- Communicate regularly with the Behaviour Consultant

- Accept, respond to, and implement feedback

- Attend and participate in regular team meetings

- Travel to, and provide services in, a variety of settings (e.g., family home, daycare, preschool etc.)

- Maintain compliance with UPLUS Academy policies and procedures

As a Behaviour Interventionist you will use the principles of Applies Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to manage challenging behaviour and teach functional communication, play and life skills to students on the autism spectrum.

Not familiar with ABA? That’s absolute fine! You will be part of a team that will provide you’re the training and support that you need to thrive.

QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 18 years old

- High school education. Preference for post secondary education in a field related to child and youth work, Educational Assistant, ABA)

- Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable sector)

- Experience working with children. Preference for experience as a BI.

- Valid drivers license and use of vehicle is an asset

Contract length: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)

Salary: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
